3 Player Facts: Has been playing hockey since he was 5, Despite been a Left Wing he has also played Centre and Right Wing in the past, Only played in the AHL for 2 weeks before debuting in the NHL
Personality: Andrew is a hyperactive, energetic and overall hard to tame. He can be hard to get along with due to his energetic nature but is a very kind person and tries to make people feel good. However people often find him annoying and overbearing.
He is neurodivergent and has ADHD as well as Autism, he has to takes meds for the ADHD but often forgets, this trait can also make people uncomfortable around him and find him 'hard to deal with'. Andrew is very passionate about hockey, it is his main and only interest and it's all he really talks about. Once you get him started he won't stop. It is his special interest and he really doesn't have any hobbies outside of hockey other than maybe hanging out with his friends.
Backstory: Andrew was born in Sweden to a Swedish Father and American Mother. He lived in Sweden until he was 12, Swedish is his first language however when he was growing up his Mother also spoke English to him making him fluent in both. At 12 Andrew moved to The USA, in the state of Maine. He already spoke English at that point so he adapted well. Andrew lived in Maine until he was 18 and moved to Vancouver to go to University at the University of British Columbia.

What does your character do when they think no one’s looking?
Stim, lots probably, he usually tries to mask it when he’s around other peopole

If not including any hockey things, either the picture of Andrew and his Dad on his bedside table or the book that Roderich gave him when he first came to the tv, it also sits on his bedside table, unread.

Your character gets turned down for their dream job. What’s their second choice?
Well Andrew lives, breathes hockey,,,if he wan’t playing it I’m sure he’d find a way to get involved (Coach, trainer, commentator, ref, etc) He wouldn’t just give up on hockey.

“Start learning English now, trust me dude, it’ll save you so much time”

….hockey game, either watch him play or go to another teams game (he’ll shit talk the players)

Andrew wishes he could be less light on his feet–stop falling over and be a little heavier, gain muscle easier

He has to take meds for his ADHD (Roderich knows this), though he often doesn’t take them because he feels like they don’t work

Probably something stupid, maybe some new hockey gear, maybe some lollies. Depends on how he’s feeling that day

Before he played in the NHL he would of said NHL players, however now he says AHL players or other minor league players

The way his Mum and Dad argued

He’d probably cave and take his ADHD meds (he dislikes taking them because he thinks it dulls his energy), call someone he trusts or do something physical (going for a skate is his #1 choice)
He’d probably have learnt how to deal with panic attacks as he’d probally get them often, though they’re never easy and he can go non-verbal

Powers that don’t turn off–sure he might have fire powers, or water powers but he’s just always making fire and can’t stop doing it.

Golden Retriever… In another life if he wasn’t so athletic he’d flunk school and be working in a grocery store

Warm meals in the Swedish winter before his Dad started taking hockey so seriously

In all honesty he probably isn’t invited to dinner parties, however he’d probably move around and talk to as many people as he can

Rod for sure, none of his other friends have proper manners (including himself)
What makes a perfect day for your character?
A good practice, then a game on home ice where he scores the winning point after a close game
If given the opportunity, would they want to know how and when they died?
No, he wouldn’t like to feel like he has a bounty on his head every time he leaves the house
What’s the one thing they’ve always wanted to do? Why haven’t they done it yet?
Play in other hockey leagues outside of the US and Sweden, however with the NHL being one of the most prestigious leagues in all of ice hockey he’s kinda bogged down.
What do they tend to joke about?
The current situation, he often tries to make jokes out of whats going on in the moment, even if it’s bad. He rarely uses sarcasm and instead tries those stupid pick up line-like jokes.

“Why were you playing so bad tonight?” & “Can I meet your Dad?”
Whose wedding would they cross the world to attend? Whose funeral?
Anyone he’s close to, though he’d be more likely to skip out on a wedding, he wouldn’t miss a funeral.
What impossible choice did they make that turned out to be the right one? The wrong one?
Cutting contact with Fabius was the right choice, however letting that feed into other aspects of his life was the wrong choice. He also wishes that he stood up for his mother more.

Probably something about his hockey skills–either the skill he has at his age or all of his point scoring

He’s been thinking and dreaming about his childhood a lot lately, Andrew also tends to have very vivid and memorable dreams, he’d one to dream every night and remember it

He’s too dumb to ponder this boi

Books Roderich has told him to read, usually classics, he might of read the summary if you’re lucky
Someone takes undeserved credit for your character’s work. What do they do?
Okay, if it’s a one off he just lets it go because he doesn’t think it’s worth it, but if it happens multiple times he’ll quietly approach the person and ask them to stop. Andrew isn’t a very confrontational person, though if he’s having issues with the person he may burst out at them during an inappropriate time and cause a bigger issue.
What controversial belief or view does your character hold? Why? Do they hide it?
Gay people should like…not be shunned in hockey spaces, neither should Women. However in locker rooms this can start arguments, during his rookie years he was less aware of this and accidentally brought it up a couple times, but he’s been strongly yelled at enough times to get him to stop saying it.
Your character is at a theme park. Where do they go first?
Probably the first ride he sees, I can imagine him standing in the middle of a line, seeing another ride he thinks is cool and just leaving the line.

I’m sorry but he’s not thinking about that kinda thing, maybe some swedish name??
What’s the biggest compliment they’d give themselves?
That he was right sometimes when arguing with his Dad

If your character could hit a reset button on their life, would they?
He’d change some things, but he’d wouldn’t flat reset it all, no ones life is going to be perfect and he can live with what he has!
